Dear Ama, I’m always hoping that you are doing well and your health is better hai. I know I hardly call you but there are no single day where I may not have missed you honestly and I’m really sorry for that hai but you don’t forget to call me so, I’m always happy for that. I know you can’t read this message and it may remain as a mystery for some time but I‘ll make sure to convey you my this message one fine day hai, sooner or later and to say about me, I'm doing good here so, no worries hai. People have remarked this day as a mothers’ day, but for me every day is a mothers’ day as I feel that a single day is never enough to show our gratitude and thank our mothers for their love and care towards their child. I know I have gone through lots of hard times, moments, situations and struggle due some chaos in our family when I was young but I take it all positively as a life lesson and, that things actually gave me more confident to face this crazy world, bu

Today we had the captainship election where we were the VIPs as we are the main candidates. I felt really honored and privilege to be one of them. At the morning we gave our speech to all the Bajo-family sharing our plans and our promises for the well-being of our school and all the students. I thought someone will be calling our names and according that to we have to go in the front to give the speech. Last time when they were announcing the nominee’s names, mine was at the middle that time, I thought we will be following that sequence, so I was relaxingly standing at the side of all the boys but suddenly, present school captain ( Bumika Tamang ) announced “we will start our speech from that side..!” and she was looking at me, I was once shocked when I heard that. I went up to the podium and gave my speech in dzongkha niggchang (pure dzongkha) for two minutes as we are given only two minutes to share our manifestoes and ask for votes. In total, we were 29 candidates out
I attended my two brothers’ marriage ceremony recently who interestingly married the two sisters from the same family. I have had attend many marriage ceremonies in my life but never observed the customs in marriage ceremony. Few years back I attended one in my own village and got to know few things but I gained more knowledge during the brothers’ time and today I thought of sharing here in my blog. There are much more for me to learn and to see yet. First of all there will be two kongpi(s) one from the grooms’ side and one from the brides’ side who knowing every protocols of marriage ceremony generally they will be elders. They are the main mediators between the grooms and brides family who will be taking all the responsibilities of the ceremony. Rai’s and subbas’ normally kills pig for the ceremony and the pigs head is given to the kongpi as the gratitude for mediating and taking all the responsibilities. The two kongpi(s) will talk to the grooms and bri
Today the 1 st April, I believe is the day of fun where even a student can make fun of their teachers and they don’t tend to mind. They say it’s an April fool day. Today is the day where one has to be really careful and conscious because at any time you may be fooled by your friends colleagues relatives and even by family members. I still remember the way how the students starting from a small child up-to teachers enjoying this day and making great moments. The way my friends used to play tricks on others. The really common trick is to say someone “look..! Your shoe lase is untied J ”. Even I was fooled many times by my friends as I don’t used to remember the day. Sometime I used to try my best to remember the day and stay smart but used to fail many times. But it always used to be fun and we used to enjoy, missing the lovely school days. My friends used to make plan at the morning that how to fool teachers today? But many times teachers used to be smarter than us. E
As an engineering student, I feel that project works and the seminars are very important part of our curriculum as this is the opportunity where we have to work manually and practically, gaining the practical knowledge and ideas relating those theories that we have learned in the classes, so that we are confident and ready to face the world of engineering. So, for our final semester project we got the topic ‘Fabrication of the Ferro-cement Bench’. Actually, it was supposed to be portable Ferro-cement bench but I don’t think that Ferro-cement benches could be made portable ever, so the topic was changed to fabrication. For our project, I have designed two benches, one is the ferro-cement bench which will be constructed using the thin layer of Portland or the normal cement mortar with thin reinforcement bars. And the other is wood and concrete bench which will be constructed using both the wood as well as the reinforced concrete. We are using reinforced concrete for the higher

In-front of Gopi Mon Mela When I came to study in Wangdue in 2005 from Tsirang , that time I was in third standard. When I reached to fourth standard, from that moment only I had a strong eagerness of visiting Phuntsholing with my mom but due to several circumstances we could not visit till the date mentioned below. But finally this year we decided to go and do my school shopping as well. The entire January I was in the house eating, sleeping and watching TV. When the February approached I had a strong pressure that we would not get the bus ticket as people were saying that all the tickets were already being reserved, but we managed to get the ticket of 7 th Feb but again we had a tension that we would not get the ticked to return back. Luckily my mom had a friend down there and she managed to get the ticket for us and also for herself on time, as she also works with my mom in the same place.
